Your responsibilities

This Training Agreement lists the responsibilities of the apprentice/trainee and employer.

Apprentice / Trainee   Employer
The Apprentice/Trainee must:   The Employer must:
• Attend and perform all the work as directed by the employer to the best of their ability.   • Provide a supportive work environment and ensure the apprentice/trainee receives the appropriate training to allow progress throughout the training program.
• Always behave in a courteous and professional manner towards your employer, other staff, customers and industrylink representatives.   • Provide a safe workplace and all the safety equipment required under the Workplace Health and Safety requirements.
• Not cause any damage to the business’s name.   • Pay the apprentice/trainee according to the requirements of the award.
• Obey all lawful commands by the employer or any person nominated by the employer including industrylink   • Allow the apprentice/trainee to undertake training or attend classes as required. Some apprentices/trainees will be able to do all the training on-the-job based on their Industry Experience and Qualifications
• Not waste or cause any damage to the employer’s property or goods.   Industrylink will develop a training plan within the first twelve weeks of the commencement of the Traineeship/Apprenticeship
• Attend Training regularly, co-operate with the training schedule and undertake Assessments and on the job training as required.   • Monitor and assess the training both on and off-the-job, and provide relevant feedback to industrylink
• Progress throughout the traineeship to the best of his/her ability   • Sign off the Training Log Book when the apprentice/training has completed the training program.
