How am I assessed?Assessments take place in clusters, for example after you have completed a series of workshops, your trainer/assessor will visit your workplace and observe your skills developed in a real life environment. As part of the assessment process, questions will be asked relating directly to the underpinning knowledge behind each task preformed. You will be notified of the assessment process in advanced. This will allow you time to prepare for the assessment, where full support is provided by your industrylink representative. Each unit undertaken as part of your chosen course will consist of a series of assessments
At any time leading up to the assessment, you are welcome to notify industryLink to discuss the nature of the assessment. Throughout your training, a representative will visit your workplace and monitor performance in a non threatening and a non intrusive manner. This may be whilst testing your ability to make a coffee, pour a glass of wine, attend to your guests or simply observe the nature in which you interact with other staff. Classroom workshops are run regularly in specialised areas such as wine appreciation, espresso coffee making, product awareness, responsible service of alcohol and workplace health and safety just to mention a few. A training calendar will be distributed to your workplace in advance allowing you and your employer to schedule your training attendance around your work commitments. You are valued as one of industrylink’s trainees and we will assure you get the very most out of your training. As part of industrylinks quality insurance you will be required to provide us with ongoing written feedback on our products and services. This will ensure that you are achieving valuable outcomes throughout your training. For further information on the assessment process, feel free to contact industrylink on 1300 307 929. We thank you for your time and look forward in building a culture in Hospitality that is outstanding. |
