How we recruit

Industrylink offer a free recruitment service for our clients. There are a couple of options available when sourcing the right trainees/apprentices for the job:

Option 1

The school VET system

Industrylink are liaising with school leavers wishing to take a career in hospitality or retail. We strongly believe in giving the young up and coming leaders in our industry the opportunity to take on a trainee/apprenticeship, developing good work ethics and skills while undertaking competency based training in theworkplace.

The potential trainees/apprentices are screened and undertake three days of intensive training with industrylink, where they are made aware of all the fundamental components and necessary skills to have in the hospitality industry.

Many of these school leavers may have completed VET training in school and are therefore a step ahead in their theoretical component of the training.

At the successful completion of the three day training, these students are interviewed then placed onto our database. This allows our clients to access the database and source the appropriate staff for the position they wish to fill. A complete portfolio on each of the students (including a personality profile) will be available.

Once the selection process is complete and after a 2 week trial, the new employee will then be signed up as a trainee/apprentice.

Option 2

Existing trainees/apprentices from other workplaces

Industrylink currently have over 180 existing trainees/apprentices registered, all currently employed in various sectors of the hospitality and retail industries, and in a variety of establishments. We inform trainees/apprentices that if they choose to leave their existing employment and wish to continue their training elsewhere to notify us, and we will place them on our database and flag their availability for existing clients to view. Again, a profile on their performance, a résumé, and an update on their training will be available to see.

The remaining funds for training will be made available for the new employer to receive.

Option 3

Advertising

Industrylink are working closely with a hospitality recruitment agency to source dynamic staff for our clients.

The potential staff will be interviewed and once again placed on our database with a full profile on each individual.

This will be made available for clients to access and screen, and will give our clients the opportunity to select the best staff for the positions they wish to fill.

After a two week trial in the workplace, the new staff member will then be signed up as a trainee/apprentice.
